To celebrate the Recreation Ground becoming a Queen Elizabeth II Field in Trust, a sports day is being held at Alexandra Rec on 15th July.

Starting around noon, bring a picnic and just relax, or visit the many stalls selling cakes and home produce. There will be face painting for the children. The Bowls club is holding a free-for-all session, so anyone of any age can try their luck at bowls. The local football team is staging a tournament. Epsom Cricket Club will hold a colts match. The Martial Arts Centre will be doing two displays during the afternoon and has a free lesson offer to attract newcomers. There will also be displays of Tai Chi. Tennis-for-Free will be using the courts - everyone can join in. Refreshments will be available.

Even with all these sporting attractions, there will still be plenty of room for members of the public!

The Mayor will be in attendance at 3pm to present a plaque. Book the date in your diary NOW.
