The Borough Council in association with Nam Yang Martial Arts Centre are staging a Fun Day in Alexandra Recreation Ground on Saturday 13th September.

College Ward councillors Christine Key and Julie Morris, together with Maria Wanless of the MAC have organised the event, which will be opened by the Mayor of Epsom & Ewell at 2 pm. Terry Wiles from Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and Trevor Mitchell, Manager of the Epsom Playhouse, have helped put together the fun-filled afternoon at which there will be something for all ages. The immediate locality will be leafleted so that residents are aware that loud drumming accompanies some of the dancing displays!

A wide variety of local organisations will be represented, plus charity and craft stalls and Epsom Fire Brigade. Martial arts displays, lion and dragon dancing will take place all afternoon. There's face painting for little ones, sumo wrestling fun for the over 13's and lots of activities for the under 12's. Refreshments will be available and there's a cake stall.

For further information about martial arts events contact Maria Wanless on 01372 725918, for information about stalls contact Christine Key on 725823 and for anything else get in touch with Julie Morris on 744297.

The location is in Alexandra Road, a continuation of Upper High Street in Epsom.

We look forward to seeing you there and hope for fine weather!
