Christmas Car Parking

Success!

Following a Lib Dem initiative at the October meeting of the Environment Committee, a reduced flat rate Christmas car parking charge of £1 will apply in Council owned car parks in Epsom for two Sundays in the run up to Christmas.

Cllr Julie Morris, leader of the Lib Dem group of councillors said: "It is really good news for both shoppers and traders that the council has agreed to set a flat rate of £1 for parking in its car parks, on the two Sundays before Christmas. Lib Dem councillors pressed for FREE parking on the THREE Sundays before Christmas, which would have shown real Christmas spirit, but we welcome anything which might bring more people into town. Hopefully the new arrangements will be well publicised by the council and local traders."
