Formal notices have now been published advertising details of proposed new and revised yellow line waiting restrictions, controlled parking zones and residents parking bays. The consultation is for 4 weeks ending on 22 December.

For the first time, full details can be inspected by the public on line, here.

The link (above) takes you to SCC's public website. Once there you can download the drawings covering any roads in which you may be interested.

Details are also available during normal opening hours at the Town Hall and in the Libraries at the Ebbisham Centre, Bourne Hall, Ewell Court House and Stoneleigh Broadway.

Residents in roads where Residents Parking Schemes are proposed should also have received a printed notice from SCC.

It is important to realise that nothing is yet decided. The decisions will be taken by the Local Committee next year, taking into account the comments received on this consultation. Although the formal notice simply refers to "objections", it would be helpful to the Committee if people who are in favour of the proposals also sent in comments saying so.

Meanwhile consultation is already in hand on proposed double yellow lines on the "hump-backed bridge" in Church Road, for urgent implementation.

These proposals for yellow lines and Residents Parking are quite separate from SCC's proposed Pay & Display scheme for parking outside shops, which is now effectively dead, at least as far as Epsom & Ewell is concerned.
