Council Hopefuls - It's Time to Apply

All Liberal Democrats hoping to stand as Candidates in next year's elections to Epsom & Ewell Borough Council should apply to the local party by 16th October. "There is still time for new names to be added to our list of Approved Candidates, ahead of our local party's AGM on 9th November", says campaign manager Cllr Julie Morris. "However we do need to allow time for our approval and selection procedures".

Any Lib Dem supporter who is not afraid of hard work is welcome to apply for consideration.

Unlike other parties, we only nominate candidates who will be able to do a good job for our local residents. So all potential candidates, including our existing councillors, have to be interviewed by a special approval panel.

We then need to allow time for a ballot of local party members to decide the best candidates from amongst those already approved.
