The former Sefton Arms is seen as a magnet for vandalism in the area

Cllr David Buxton raised the question of demolishing the old Sefton Arms public house at a recent Council meeting, as a safety issue for local residents on the Longmead Estate. This has arisen due to the delay in progressing the proposed Hollymoor Lane development.

He was assured that committee chairmen share his disappointment that Rosebery Housing is having difficulties in raising funding for affordable housing at the moment. However the Council will investigate the options for improvements in the area, with demolition of the old pub seen as a priority.
