In response to complaints from residents who use Epsom Station, the council has promised to look into opening Hook Road car park at 6.30am instead of 7.00am.

At a meeting of the Environment Committee on 27th October, in response to a request from Cllr Alison Kelly, council officers were asked if it would be possible to review the opening time. The response was that as long as it didn't incur a cost, there would appear to be no problem. Unfortunately the closing time of this car park is also likely to be reviewed after the East Street bridge works are completed next year. There are sometimes only 20 vehicles using it after 7.00pm and the income just doesn't justify lighting the building.

The East Street railway bridge is to be rebuilt after Easter 2011.
