Input wanted from Local Business

Epsom & Ewell's Business Partnership Board (BPB) wants more input from local businesses, especially when it comes to recycling and planning issues.

At a meeting of the BPB held on 1st December it was agreed to launch a newsletter for local businesses and to encourage local traders to recycle. A leaflet will be prepared which will give local businesses a variety of options for recycling (the borough council currently deals mostly with domestic refuse and only a small amount of trade recycling) and the monthly newsletter will contain details of any major planning applications. Ideally, the newsletter will be circulated via the Internet and companies should be able to register on the council's website if they wish to receive it on a regular basis. The BPB is keen that local business can better keep in touch with what's happening in Epsom and Ewell and can submit views on planning policy and development issues.

Any local business is welcome to attend BPB meetings which are held quarterly. Contact Nigel Pavey or Julie Morris for details of meeting dates in 2010. They are held at the Town Hall, normally on a Tuesday, and begin at 5.30pm.
