Let's Fight Together

18 Nov 2006

Epsom & Ewell Lib Dems have called for a unified approach toward the future of Epsom General Hospital. They have invited all local political parties and interested organisations to meet for a round table discussion in December.

Tim Murphy, Chair of Epsom & Ewell Liberal Democrats, says "There have been many comments and statements on the subject of the hospital. There are also a number of pressure groups starting up, none of which appears to be entirely cross-party. We do not believe that the future of our hospital should be a party political issue, since retaining it is something that all parties and organisations undoubtedly agree upon. A campaign will be that much stronger if it is all-inclusive."

The aim of a round table discussion will be to agree an approach and then boost the fight to retain the hospital utilising a wider range of resources. For further information contact Tim Murphy on timmurphy4@btinternet.com or Cllr Jonathan Lees on 07801 432459 or jmeilees@yahoo.co.uk.
