New Chair for local Lib Dems

Tim Murphy joined the Epsom & Ewell Liberals in 1980

At our annual general meeting, Epsom & Ewell Liberal Democrats unanimously elected Tim Murphy as our new constituency Chair. He replaces Steve Dixon who has worked hard for the party over the last five years.

Tim is a town planner by profession. He works locally for a national campaign to protect the countryside, including the Green Belt.

Tim Murphy was born in Epsom and has lived in the Borough for most of his life. He joined the Epsom & Ewell Liberals in 1980. Tim was Lib Dem candidate for Epsom & Ewell South East in the 2005 county council elections, when he came within 161 votes of the sitting RA councillor.

Tim's term of office as Chair officially commences on January 1st 2006, along with the members of the newly elected Executive.
