New parking restrictions will be discussed by the Local Committee on Thursday 17th December

Epsom & Ewell's Local Committee (the highway authority) receives a report on Phase V waiting restrictions today, Thursday 17th December.

These include a number of "junction protection" double-yellow lines, and some perceived hot spots in the Epsom area. The proposals include significant waiting restrictions in Tonstall Road, Hazon Way, Maidenshaw Road and Gosfield Place. Also affected will be the area around the entrance to Wallace Fields Junior School and a reduction in the restrictions in South Street to allow vehicles to park on one side at night.

Anyone wanting more details can contact Cllr Anna Jones or Cllr Colin Taylor.

If the Committee approves the restrictions, a period of advertising will follow and final agreement to proceed will be by decision of the Local Committee later in 2010.
