Independent butcher Derek Fletcher is not sure how Tesco's plans will affect his trade - it could increase because more people will visit the Street, or it could decrease because of in-store competition

Epsom & Ewell Liberal Democrats have arranged a public meeting for Tuesday 17th November, 7.30 pm, at The Phoenix Club in Depot Road.

Councillors will be present to hear the views of local residents concerning the Tesco planning application which will be heard at the 10th December meeting of the borough's Planning Committee. Those both for and against the plans are welcome to attend. The meeting will be chaired by Paul Linscott who chaired the 2005 public meeting concerning a planning application for the same site.
