Update on September's planning decisions

Several controversial planning applications were discussed at the Planning Committee meeting on 6th September.

Proposals for Berridale in College Road did not receive the support of the Committee thanks to eloquent speeches by Cllr Anna Jones (College) and Cllr Colin Taylor (Stamford).

Proposals for the Lintons Centre were discussed at length. The Committee felt that there was insufficient information to make a decision and the matter was deferred until the October meeting. Cllr Alison Kelly brought the apparent lack of management of the site which would be converted to student accommodation, noise and traffic issues, to the attention of the Committee. Local residents can view the October meeting from the public gallery and speak for a maximum of 3 minutes in support of, or to object to the plans.
