PWRR Awarded Freedom of the Borough
A special meeting of the council has awarded the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment the Freedom of the Borough of Epsom & Ewell.

The start of another year and at least some improvement in the recycling service offered by our borough council as they continue to bring flats on-stream with the new collection service for plastics and cardboard. Each week we will be posting a "tip of the week", starting off with some fairly obvious strategies but moving on to some of the most inventive recycling done by our councillors, members and supporters. Let your local councillor know of any interesting ways of recycling which you think could be publicised more widely.
If you have felt that you wanted to give something back to your community, help young people from falling into a life of crime or anti-social behaviour or wanted to offer young people support and guidance, then the borough council would like to hear from you.
Lib Dem County Councillors Stephen Cooksey and David Goodwin have worked for some months as part of a small Council Task Group established to make recommendations about improving the chaotic arrangements that the County had in place when the heavy snow fell last winter. Many of the recommendations of the Group have been accepted by the Cabinet, which agreed to provide an additional £1 million to improve the service in the coming winter.
