Derek Phillips, councillor for Ruxley Ward, passed away last week in the Princess Alice Hospice, after a long illness.
Thank you to all who voted for her, and for the army of volunteers who put so much effort in.

It was agreed that, unless required to do so by law, Surrey will take no part in preparing for the government's ID Card scheme, it will refuse to participate in the national database and it will establish as Council policy that Identity Cards will not be required to obtain Surrey County Council benefits or services.
